September 27, 200520 yr Get down underneath the back of your car and wipe the tag clean thats on the back of the diff (most the time they are covered in grease and road grime). It will say LSD, 3.7 and with part #, etc.
September 27, 200520 yr The diff should have a sticker on it either saying 'LSD' in big letters and a gear ratio, or just the gear ratio. Another way if you have the rear of the car off the ground is to spin one tire. If the tire on the other spins the same way, you have an LSD. If the other tire spins the opposite way, it's an open-differential. If it's anything like my cars, you'll have to clear a bunch of crud to read the sticker edit: got beat to it
September 27, 200520 yr Author OK. I'll try the sticker but I use this car as a rally car and it may be wore off. Are you sure the wheels we spin the same way if the back if lifted on the ground? Doesn't the diff only lock under load, otherwise it acts like a open-diff? Hayden
