btw i put this in meet n greet because i wanted everyone to hear about it and its like lots of people on the board have probably been there.

what's fort clatsup???? Please excuse the eastcoast ignorance?

Fort Clatsup is where Lewis & Clark wintered over on the Oregon coast with the Corps of Discovery. The fort was a historical rebuild on the original ruins from 1806, and next year was to be the bi-centennial celebration at the fort.

I hope they catch the arsonist and he gets a Federal bunk-buddy for the rest of his sick little life.

ya it was a pretty cool place. i went there on a field trip once back in the 3rd grade. i've been there a few times. sucks i wont see it again.:-\

I've been there myself, was quite a while ago but I remember making beef tallow candles (still have them, AND the mold!) and going through the rebuilt fort. Don't worry about "not goign there again" they will rebuild it!
