October 24, 200520 yr Hi guys! It’s my first posting!!!! I have been driving a 1990 Loyal but now I have a new Forester (2006). Our other 2 Subaru’s are old, the paint is all ready ruined, so there was no sap-problems. Now I am worried about my Forester’s paint. [Oh by the way: Hi to the guys from the older generation –I’m Belizeanbus’ wife] Is there anyway I can get the sap off (gently) with out ruining the paint? I have seen suggestions on the web, but it doesn’t seem like these people care as much about their cars as I do about Brautigan (that’s the name of my car). Someone even suggested nail polish remover! Subamama 1990 Loyale (Suby) 1992 Loyale (Scrappy) 2006 Forester (Brautigan)
October 24, 200520 yr goo gone won't harm the paint, however it will strip the wax, so you'll need to re wax that section.
October 24, 200520 yr while the paint is still good and new get a good wax such as liquid glass or any high quality wax for that matter, this will make cleaning much easier and you probally can wash it off with water, and this will help hold off the so called acid rain. ed
