Have a '90 Legacy wagon 2.2 automatic. Don't know what to do next. Engine is misfiring and so far we can't get it resolved. Our mechanic is still trying to figure it out. We have replaced air filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires and replaced 2 fuel injectors. It is still misfiring. What do we check for next? Any help would be greatly appreciated. We need this car fixed badly.

the 2 injecters you replaced are they across from each other? the coil pack as i understand it works in 2 halves,1-2 fires on the front half 3-4 fires from the back half. ed

I'll have to find out from my husband. We don't have access to internet at home, only at work. Thanks!

I found out that we replaced injector #2 and #4. Right now only #2 is misfiring. Thanks!

Is the "check engine light" on? If it is I would deal with this first.

Is there a spark going to each cylinder? If there isn't I would check the coil pack. It seems weird that one side would fire and not the other, but, its worth looking at. Check the igniter as well. If both these check out fine I would take another look at the plugs and wires.

Possibly change fuel filter if you haven't already. Are the injectors working, you should be able to hear them click if you hold a long screwdriver to them.

Run some seafoam through the intake to clean it out.

Good luck
