XT6 Timing belt on ea82 turbo?

Featured Replies

I have an extra set of timing belts for the XT6 and I need a set for the RX, are they compatable? Thanx.

interesting to know. That means my 11ty billion EA82 timing belts wont save and ER27 then.

er 27s dont break timing belts like the ea82s do.

the pullies sieze, or the hydro thingy goes out, in turn eating the belt.

That sucks... they look very much the same. Oh well.. Yeah.. my cam siezed and it ate the belt. Thanks for the info. Hey.. how do you guys feel about running with NO timing belt covers? Front or Back. Thanks.

hydro thingy?

theres a wierd spring loaded, hydrolic?, thing, held on with two bolts. totaly different than the ea82 stuff. it puts pressure on the tensioner pulley on the drivers side belt.

i was a big fan of runing no belt covers... untill morganm siezed two idler pulleys in one year without covers.

his is an offroader tho, and saw alot of dirt.

apparently if you keep them lubed with spraylube, they will last longer.
