Sooo glad I found this forum. I rely heavily on a similar forum for my VW Vanagon and have been looking for a Subaru one of the same quality.

My '97 Outback with 147000 miles is starting to require attention (leaking front crank seal AGAIN!, fogged headlight exteriors, valve noise etc). I do all my own repairs so this will be a great resource.

Welcome to the board. Indeed there is a wealth of info here. Look around, especially at the USRM and the archives. Become familiar with hte search function - it's a quick way to access a lot of useful knowledge.
