October 4, 200322 yr hello all, i can buy 2 subaru's , first 1 . 88 full time 4wd a/t turbo wagon w/ 82,000 mi , 1 small rust spot, w/ air surpresson that works, 2 - 88 gl 4wd manual wagon w/ 180,000 mi needing some body parts , but i have all that is needed , both run good, both may need timming belts , tune up , etc... i can buy both for dollars , what do all you think ? should i buy them ? i have alot of the parts already needed
October 4, 200322 yr Author also a set of new rims that have never been put on , books , a box of new brake pads etc....
October 4, 200322 yr I say rip off... I can get 2 86 subarus here in portland, both pretty much rustless for $700 for BOTH
October 4, 200322 yr You've gotta be kidding me Flowmastered87GL!!!!!! It must be PACKED with Subarus in your area, because that sounds like a killer deal to me. I paid $2000 for Roxanne two years ago, and that was a good price for Alaska. Two months ago, I paid $850 for Ruby, in non-running condition! (And I will be able to sell her for around $2000 with a little more work.)
October 4, 200322 yr no kidding... $300 for the "parts" car with a blown head gasket, plus $400 for the other one
October 4, 200322 yr Author well my area has a few around , it seems like i find them easily , the turbo full time 4wd a/t wagon needs outer cvs, the sunroof is cracked , but i have a spare , it needs a tune up belts, etc... , 1 small rust spot on the hatch 82,000 mi, the gl 4wd manual wagon has a bad oil leak uses 1 qt every 300 mi aleast , but good interior on both , the gl w/ 180,000 mi needs fender, headlight, marker light , which i have , i think i will buy them both today , 1 problem remains i have no room
October 4, 200322 yr Author see here in OHIO there are not to many rust free subaru's left, if i would buy 1 from washington state the shipping would kill me , now the last 2 subaru's i got very cheap , but needed alot of work thanks to miles and tom, sooooooo
October 4, 200322 yr I'd be willing to help you out, Jim... You could give me that XT... Then you'd have room for the "new" wagon. As for the parts car, well, you just tear it apart, then it's not taking up yard space. I'd even be willing to drive down and lend a hand. Even bring the Wife so she could drive the BRAT back..............
October 4, 200322 yr Author well , i have a bill of sale and wrote her a ck for the xt , but still no title , i think i will fix up the gl wagon w/ 180,000 and drive her this winter , it has alot of rust the 4wd works great and even the ac works ,
October 4, 200322 yr Author 1 more problem , i have not told the wife about buying them , this can be a major problem , she told me sell the other 2 and then you can buy 2 more :temper:
October 4, 200322 yr Need your Wife's email mail addy so I can find out when/where the funeral is. Was nice knowing you, Jim...........
October 4, 200322 yr Author might have to go live with miles , if no one hears from me , then you know what happaned :dead: :dead: :dead: :dead:
October 4, 200322 yr cram them all up in joh'e driveway. that way she shinks you sold ther, but you got them stashed out for themoment!
October 4, 200322 yr Author well i am still alive and got both subaru's home , i better stay awake tonight just in case :argue: :argue: :argue: :argue: :argue: :argue: :argue: :argue:
