Featured Replies

well im no stranger to long trips in subys. but here is the latest.

los angles to Bozeman MT in 17 hours flat. not to bad as we sepnt an hour in vegas( wieard overheat fans must not have kicked on. as i was sitting in traffic) anyway.

svx got a solid 25mpg with 2 people, 2 LSD rear DIFFS. big suit case, -40 degree sleeping bag. watermelon, printer and a few other things.+ 200lbs of tools.

oh yea it was 72 the high in LA today and when i came into bozeman the temp was -26.

..

My car has done Missoula to LA 5 times now. Bike+skis on the roof, full of my stuff, crusing at 80+. I got about 23 mpg.

According to Mapquest, that's 1100 miles, so you averaged around 65 including stops, not bad. That's about what I averaged on my last trip. Soobies are real road-warriors...at least from what I've seen, they take to long trips pretty well.

I've been around the block a couple of times in my 83 Brat and 89 xt6. Both good cruisers, but one is definitely faster than the other.
