I have a 1997 Legacy GT and I want to get some 15 inch wheels. Could I use the wheels from a LS or L Legacy from the same year? I guess my real question is weather or not the lug nut pattern is the same.

Yep

All Legacy's and Imp's have the same pattern. Generally you can't drop the rim diameter (i.e. use a 14" rim instead of the stock 15") or you'll have problems clearing the calipers.

You can not use SVX rims, Tribeca rims or 05+ STI rims.

I could be wrong, I think you have bigger roters discs than 15" models since it has to meet Turbo requirements, I don't know, why wouldn't you downgrade from 16" to 15"??

Forrester has different offset but you still can use them on Legacys as I've seen people doing that.

I would like to get some aggressive offroad tires, and it seems that anything for 16 inch wheels is too wide.

Thanks for all your help,

Phil
