are Loyale bodies galvanized? I don't see rust on Loyales very often.... if they are, I think it would be a good idea to convert one to d/r cuz I hate rust and single range 4wd. thanks for the information.

Well, that's because you're in Tennessee. Visit the east coast/Appalachian area and you'll see them literally falling apart. I had one where the rear fender well collapsed from rust, and a parts car that was so rusty that bolts tore out chunks of the body instead of turning out like they were supposed to.

i see loyals with rust quite often they are just allot newer so they havent had time to collect a healthy amount of rust all subarus need to survive

haha, seems mine is healthy then. my dad had an old datsun truck with rust like that loyale's. i think it was given away.

To answer the original question, no the loyale body is not galvanized. IIRC, subaru didn't start doing that until the second gen legacy came along (1995)
