GRRRRRRRR -inch er er GRRRRRRRunch

Featured Replies

auto: 94 Legacy GT wagon

tranny: 4EAT AWD

mileage: 210,00

circumstance: moderate left hand turns at speed

noise: as subject says - only occasional read - not every time

feeling: can be felt under foot and in steering wheel

Guess: right front wheel bearing, CV or DOJ?

Any other suspects?

i would suspect the wheel bearing. CV joints are very predictable in the noise they make, clicking on hard turns being the most obvious.

Jack up that side of the car and shake the tire, bet there is some play there.

I've had a CV joint shake the wheel. it was so bad it was dry and rusting on the inside. :slobber: If it were me, and i had the time, if it is the bearings, i'd do both sides, and do a once over on the brakes. Of course, Skip, you knew that.
