So here is my car do I call it a Legacy or an Outback?

I'd call it an Outback Sedan.

It's a 2003? If it is:

 

Technically, it is a Legacy....well, Legacy Outback

 

However, the official name is "Outback Sedan".

a legacy sedan looks almost the same, but lower and no 2 tone paint

When they first came out they had a SUS badge on the rear for (Sport Utility Sedan)!

'00 and later is either "Legacy" or "Outback". The only place you may see "Legacy Outback" is on your insurance or registration paperwork as Subaru separated these two model lines in 2000 for marketing purposes. In '05 they were further differentiated when the Outback (sedan and wagon) became classified as light trucks for EPA CAFE standards.

 

Yours (two-tone paint, side cladding, dual-reflector headlamps and raised ride height) is an Outback.

Did they ever make this model in 1998 as I have a Liberty sedan(Australia) and would like to put the Outbacks front bumper and foglights on to it.

 

Anyone know if this is possible??
