ducaromeo
Hi all. I've been enjoying this site for quite a while and finally have a reason to post a question. As the title indicates, I have an opportunity to get a full set of new strut assemblies (springs, housings, everything) from a co-worker who removed them from his '02 WRX when the car was new. Can someone out there more informed than myself please advise as to whether this will fit my '97 Legacy Wagon? Thanks in advance! john in KY
Physically the struts fit. The brake line brackets are different and will need modified. Once installed the front will be slightly higher than stock and the rear slightly lower.
ducaromeo
Perhaps I'm better off just retrofitting the WRX struts without the springs or housings? The ride height sounds like it might be funky? Gregg ducaromeo@yahoo.com
ballitch
if i remember correctly, the wrx struts and springs are a little shorter than the legacys struts and springs. so you might need an alignment after you put these in, but one benefit is the spring/strut reaction time is faster than the legacy stuff. ~Josh~
