Axles

Ok, I am about sure that my driver side rear axle is going (constant click click that gets louder and faster with speed) Anyway, where is the bast place to get a new axle? Are the ones advanced, auto zone, napa, worth a squat, oram I better off going oem. Also, if anyone knows of a good junkyard around central N.C. that deals with Subaru's, let me know. I need to keep this car going as its my daily driver, work car, go out in the field and move firewood hauler, and anything else you could imagine. It see's alot of use and abuse.

If you don"t mind changing them once a year the discount stores r ok because they give ya life time warrenty. Better off with oem. Altough i have the adjustable front and rear struts and have had them adjusted to max liftfor two years and the one axle i put in is just starting to make noise. So not to bad for 60 bucks. Are you sure its your joints clicking? sometimes when my axle nut lossens up it will click like that to.

You know, I havn't checked the axle nut. Now that you mention it, I am going to do that tomarrow, when the sun is out.

that clicking could be your bearings........but as far as the axle goes, get one form a JY or a discount place, and buy the CV boot repair kit, when you bust a boot, you'll be able to fix it. its not hard at all.
