Ok so it took the dealer three attempts to fix my clutch and $1400. I sat by quietly. Now my speed sensor is dead, 4 days after being replaced and I am 4 hours from the dealer that repaired it. So now I am stuck until my spring break with no speedo. I have had it. Subaru of America will be hearing about this. I expected better, this being my 3rd Subaru. I really am just plain Pissed Off.

Got a letter back from Subaru. Told me that my car is out of warranty and that they could care less if I remain a customer. Fine. Ill got buy a Honda then, see how they like it then!

......because I havent put almost $2000 in repairs for this car in the past 8 months.

That's some sloppy work. No excuse for that.

Can you check the connector on the speed sensor? Might be an easy fix, might get lucky.

Geez, that sucks. I wouldn't say there is anything wrong with subaru -- cars do need new clutches from time to time, and speedos go out too -- but apparently their dealers there suck if it takes them several times to fix anything. I know there's people on this board that hate taking subaru's to non-dealer mechanics, but seriously, whats the worst that could happen. You might end up with someone incompetent to work on your car -- but it sounds like you already did.

In my letter I made the point that parts (clutches) do wear out and i get that but i shouldnt be spending so much money on additional repairs. Especially ones that affect my safety. Which both my clutch and speedo did.

Since I thought that the clutch repair was done by incompotent people I changed dealers to do the speedo. No difference apparently.
