i have an 86 hatch w/ round headlights and 1600 engine

The round headlights came on the DL models.

I have found that the round headlights came more on the Standard series then the DL. I've seen the DL's come with single sqaures before. Bratwerst has converted the front end on his Brat to rounds from a STD.

contact roobaflu or check in his gallery, he has one

std had single rounds but not on early models like 1980. on those eary models dls had the rounds (unless they came with an 1800, then they were square. i do not know what year the switch was made.

I've been toying with the idea of running four of those big rounds on my hatch.

4 low beams, and 4 Highs. Plus, they're a close match in diameter to my KC lights.

It is a 7" H6024. (Measured from Freebie, which is an '83 STD hatch)

 

FYI, there is a projector upgrade kit for these as well, similar to the square ones I just put on my XT.
