ok i thought i remeberd somewhere that qmans old hatch had a dr trany from an 86 wagon and that in 86 the low range was not 1.5? but 1.62 or somthing like that...

The ratio for a 86 D/R low is 1.196.

 

Thats the ratio for the RX 5spd D/R tranny. The standard DR 5spd in GLs/Dls is 1.59 (or very close to).
