Spring Pins for HAlf Shafts?! I NEED SOME!!

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where i could land some Spring Pins? i'm going to be putting a new transmission and rear diff in my 92 touring wagon, and i cant for the life of me find new pins. i assume i need 4... but i might need 8?

any suggestions?!!?! *besides the dealer?*

thanks!!

Luigi

You can reuse your existing spring pins without any problems, unless you lost them.

Buy OE, they're stainless and with teeth.

I have never found them in the right size outside a dealership-and believe me I've looked a few years back. Then found a dealer that sold them at reasonable rather than holdup prices

Luigi, you need 4. do you want new or are you just missing the ones that were in the halfshaft on the old tranny? If it is the later, give me a call (I'll send you a PM with the number). I likely have a few laying about the shop.

What's wrong with wrapping an old coat hanger around it?
