Running different sized tires...

Featured Replies

I know it PROBABLY matters...

if i were to set up a pair of 155/80R13 tires and 165/80R13... would it be a problem for temporary (so i can move it if needed) use until i get a set of swampers?

Which should set should go on the front/back?

Oh.. and why?

Thx :-)

As long as you don't use 4wd, it should be fine for short trips and such. I can't see where it would matter if the bigger ones were on the front or back.

As long as the car is kept in 2WD, it wont matter how long they are on there.

If your curious to what happens, just try it :) Put the tires on, put it in 4WD, and try to pull out of the drive way.

It wont do much damage, you wont be able to go far. I tried it on pavement with a donut spare on, and i didnt even make it through the intersection before all 4 tires binded together and the car refused to move. I had to lift the front of my car using my pushbar to relieve the pressure on the diff.

Whoa thats worthy of a :headbang:

Oh, Brian... hey what were you saying about them pugs again? Can you get a set of 14s ? with lugs?

Even tho i'd prefer those hubs you had :brow:

PM me about that.

Other than that thx for the info on the tire sizes :headbang:

Im not at home. Lemme talk to my supplier and i'll get the info to you. Message me on MSN with your complete mailing address? Does UPS or FedEx deliver right to your door out there?

-Brian

Ups and Fed ex both deliver here, but you might check out Northern Air Cargo and send them air freight. It's probably cheaper. Ed Rach just sent me 4 rims, center hubs, and lug nuts for $56.00. I would be suprised if UPS or Fed Ex can match that.

Thanks, that helps alot. I think the hubs would be easier to come buy and easier to ship than the rims, and it should be cheaper than I thought.
