February 4, 200620 yr how would I go about putting in an inline thermostat? I am thinking put together 2 housings with a thermostat in the middle why? because the ### doesn't have a thermostat, the housing is held together with silicone and a hoseclamp
February 4, 200620 yr Why not get another intake? No sense in messing around trying to juryrig something.
February 5, 200620 yr I am thinking put together 2 housings with a thermostat in the middle That's EXACTLY what we did when my friends and I were in High School.... We had a dirt track race car (stock class) that we were constantly changing engines in. We took two after market housings (chevy) with straight outputs and stuck a thermo stat in the middle, bolted them together and put it about half way up the hose. Worked great! If you do this, make SURE to mark an inlet and outlet side.... we didn't .... ONCE.... it's really sad when you're leading a race and sieze an engine on the last lap and DNF!! Although if I had a choice.... I'd get a new manifold instead and not worry about vibrations, leaks etc..... NV
