We all know what happens to off road cars. Throwing a rod is when the rod that connects(connecting rod) the piston to the crank decides it can't take it anymore and breaks....subaru_styles' rod broke off from the crank and then the piston was shot down into the crank because it was fired off...then the rod got between the crank and engine block and busted it up as you see in the pic. nkx Posted February 9, 2006 Share Posted February 9, 2006 there isnt squat for aftermarket for these cars, bud. and most of the stuff that is out there is because of people on this forum. as far as getting performance? 1. turbo 2. NOS (which will be closely followed by #3 after you nuke your motor) 3. motor swap do some reasearch on suspension and track down a nice set of 15" peugeot wheels. theyre the only other wheels that use the same 140x4 bolt pattern as our old subies. thats all you really need to make the car look sharp.
