Yes, I have one. I had a Civic EX 5 speed before this, and the Impreza rides so much better and quieter, it's easier getting in and out of, no cables between the shifter and transmission and best of all, torque. VTEC is nice if you are always in the upper end of the tach, but there is no substitute for torque. The only drawback so far is the mileage. I did kind of get used to over 30 mpg around town in the Civic. But, the Impreza is way more fun to drive. I just wish we'd get some snow here i sw MI!!!!

thats good to hear, Civics are definatly quality, so its good that the Imp has some even better points.

how would you say the overall quality is? is the back seat somewhat usable? my dad found one dealer willing to do $16,699 for one.

I don't know how your dad is with mileage per year etc. and how long he plans on keeping the car but subaru was offering a $199 lease for 48 months with nothing down at delivery.

Since it is a new month the incentives might have chaneged but ??????

The 16,699 thing is about the going rate for a stripped 2.5i. They (some dealer in the Harrisburg PA area) was offering 2.5i's for that during the Harrisburg auto show. IMHO, that is a sweet price. (and has been mulled around here a few times :D )

Overall quality is great, no squeaks or rattles, everything fit together well. As for the back seat....not sure about that. I'm the only one in the car, although when I took the parents for a ride Mom said the back seat was very comfy. For a 10 minute ride anyway. I have my seat almost all the way back, doesn't look like much footroom back there. All I can say is I love driving it.

This months issue of ScoobySport has a 06 NA Impreza wagon v.s. 98 Forester v.s. Honda CRV. The article may be worth the trip to Barnes and Noble to read it :)
