'89 rx electrical oddity, volt gauge turn signal

Featured Replies

it finally happened  the volt gauge goes up and down when I turn on the left turn signal :brow:

any ideas WHY

besides the obvious, fuses, grounds, connections, bulbs

HAH HAH...how about you check those out then tell us if it fixes it or not. Mine does it too. I've heard "it's a ground", but I've added grounds up the yin yang, still does it.

My XT6 does that, but only with the headlights on.

Wanna know the reason why? Cause the voltage is going up and down :-p

I added a new ground to the chassis, and that helped a bit.

It's done that to me in every Subaru I've ever owned with only a couple of exceptions...the ones that didn't have voltage gauges. Can you also hear a slight humming when either of the turn signals are engaged?

My hatch does it too. Girlfriend just laughes at it cause she thinks the whole car is a piece of sh*t.
