95 Legacy Wagon Hesitating and Popping

Featured Replies

Hi,

My 95 Legacy Wagon LS. The einging light is on, it hesitates when you start out, someties you hear a backfire or popping sound when accelerating and the egine light sometines blinks.

I was wondering if it could be the MAS module?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike Carey, KD7GHZ

sounds like a misfire probably caused by the coil pack or spark plug/spark plug wires...

mine does the same thing intermittently.

I agree with Strat, sounds like the coil pact. You can check it with a Multi Meter and the instrustions out of the Haynes manual, for Subaru. The coil pact dont cost a lot and is very easy to change.

I changed the coil pack. I procured one from our local auto dismantler. It worked well for about 15 minutes. Still misses, I will chang the Spark Plugs next.

Any other ideas?

Mike

I put in new plugs, and wires. Took it out for a test drive and it didn't hesitate or pop at all. So lets hope that that does it.

Thanks, for the help.
