The einging light is on, it hesitates when you start out, someties you hear a backfire or popping sound when accelerating and the egine light sometines blinks. tcspeer Posted March 26, 2006 Share Posted March 26, 2006 I agree with Strat, sounds like the coil pact. You can check it with a Multi Meter and the instrustions out of the Haynes manual, for Subaru. The coil pact dont cost a lot and is very easy to change. sounds like a misfire probably caused by the coil pack or spark plug/spark plug wires... mine does the same thing intermittently. ekimyerac Posted March 27, 2006 Author Share Posted March 27, 2006 I changed the coil pack. I procured one from our local auto dismantler. It worked well for about 15 minutes.
