Meet for the old skool' subies of colorado and surrounding area?

Featured Replies

Hey I would really like to see if we can set something up for us old school subaru people of colorado and a couple of the surrounding states.Any chance we could have a meet/swap/off road thing?I noticed I have gotten quite a bit of stuff piling up from my junkyard runs and I thought there may be stuff I have that others may need and vise versa.Just wanted to put this out there and see what the rest of you thought.Something this summer would be cool.Don't really have the time to set something up but I would like to see who has some ideas.:)

I'd be all over it as soon as I got my Brat going again. Can't show up to a meet-n-greet in a non Subaru:rolleyes:

I'd definately like to see some group wheeling.

Those Washington/Oregon guys don't seem to have any trouble getting a group of Roos on the trail all the time.

We have some of the best trails on earth here in Colorado, and we should be wheelin 'em! (granted, we have it rougher... We're at 7000 feet before we even get to the trailhead. Altitude is mean to carbed' subies.)

Doesn't need to be Radical Hill, or Mosquito pass, or anything hardcore, just mountain air, beautiful scenery, the occasional obsticle to play on, and a nice spot to eat/swap/show.

Even something pedestrian like Rampart Range Road is really pretty cool once you get 14-15 miles in. The crowds thin out and little offshoot trails are more common.

Just tossing ideas.

Yea we need to get together and show them what us Rocky Mountain Subaru's can do! (or not do  )

Two words for you FUEL INJECTION....time for a swap. Don't need to but I did since I can't get a carb to run good out here. Maybe you or Jerry can though.

I'm totally down for some Roo wheeling will bring both the digi camera and the digi camcorder so we can prove our efforts  ! have a ton of crap to get rid of also...not sure anyone needs any of it though. I'm also sure I will be the first rig to break when we do get together...just my luck, which is why I will bring the cameras.......

And Jerry has to get this Hatch out in public for us to see (and I didn't get that pic Jerry)

i'm in unfortunatly i'll be in the chevy

the six is strickly for mud and street use

Dunno why, I just don't dig F.I. (I generally prefer mechanicals to electronics.)

I really want to go with a dual carb setup. Will be looking into having a custom Dual Sidedraft Webber intake ( :brow: ) made, but a factory JDM dualie intake would do also.

I plan on a new motor; 1800 w/ 1600 pistons, stage 1 Delta cam, The above intake, my free flow dual exhaust and a custom 5spd D/R with low low 1st and an overdrive 5th.

But I digress...

You guys REALLY REALLY need to do this rally in mid June in Colorado. It doesnt really matter where you have it but it needs to be in CO! I am currently deployed to the desert and I will be home (CO) in june. I havent been to any of the meets because no one does them out in NC where i am stationed, not very many soobies. I wont be able to bring my brat or XT6 but i will have my 05 Legacy 2.5GT and my mothers Forester so i am game for 4wheeling! Mabe we can meet up at Breckenridge or somewhere close to that. JUNE JUNE JUNE 15th !!!!:headbang: There is a lot of room at the parking lots to swap parts and i am game to buy stuff also! JUNE 15!

What do you think?!?!?!

I'm going to be in colorado on business from the 24th to the 29th of april...

denver area specifically, I believe... bloomfield or something?

June isn't going to be a good month for meets for me, my baby boy is due June 13th :headbang:.

Operose your more than welcome to swing by/meet-up, sounds like your headed towards Broomfield...there is quite a few members up in that area, and is not far from anywhere along the front range out here. Maybe we should have a mini-meet just for Operose???
