Ok. this is what *not* to do with an old subaru wheel bearing. How do I get this off my finger?

Stick your hand in some really cold ice water.I think it should come off then.Let your hand get really cold and your skin will contract allowing enough room to get it off.

Find someone with a diamond grinding wheel - it won't cut into your flesh. Use a lot of water to keep the metal cool too.

 

Better to soak it in HOT water and make the metal expand - then use baby oil on it.

It finally came off. the sleeve was squeaky clean. I am now divorced from my old car, and I'm not giving it the middle finger again...:drunk:
