 I have an 1988 subaru justy DL and the dash lights just stopped working on me. I have checked all the fuses and they all seem to be good. Could it be the dimmer switch ? Any one with any information for me i would sure appreciate it. Donna:-\

Welcome!

:)

Yes, it could be, but also check in the Engine compartment, there is a huge cable with a lot of wires inside, that goes from and to the engine, it maybe is loose in its connectors... (Female and Male) so it may is doing False Contact...

Check it and give us Feedback about...

Good Luck! :)

Not sure how it is with the Justy, but is there an adjustor for dimming the dashlights? If so, is it turned all the way down? Sorry, I had to ask.

You might need to get the screw driver out, pull some plastic off the dash around the instrument cluster and dimmer switch and check all the connections onto the cluster and switches. Basically just pull them off, make sure the wires aren't hanging out and plug them back in.

It can get very annoying chassing down these problems, but if you persist, you'll get there (we hope.)
