I am selling my '00 outback wagon - 5 spd. 174K miles. I am having trouble figuring out a fair price. Blue Book says $7460, NADA says about 6500-8500. I see them online at various prices, but I don't know what they actually are selling for. I want to find a good home for her and be fair to the buyer, but I don't want to give it away either. It's a goos solid car, a few issues, but the body/paint is good, the engine is strong, no leaks, doesn't burn oil. Anybody want to take a crack at advising me on what you think it's worth?

It has so many miles that in my opinion, it's not worth any more than 5k.

Subaru does hold its value more than anything else, still with that many miles...................5G would be a good price, I doubt if you would get anymore, probably would not get near that if anything for trade in.

Your all killing me. Lol 5000 for a 00 car, i have a 93 legacy that i have spent 10,000 on with about the same milage!!

Very regional ... that Outback, if really clean could bring $10,000 in NW Montana, but then we're not scared by high mileage in anything, especially Subarus.

 

Western highway miles are easy on cars.

Very high milage from NJ with a stick? Good luck getting more than 6k for it.

I second that. If it's all east coast driving, it might be considering high miles, but out here, that's pretty low. Anything under 100k is considered brand new pretty much.
