i need some opinions about snow tires

Featured Replies

all i know about snow tires is that i went cheap and bought Kelly Magna Grip. good choice. after 1 winter they show very little wear. driving up and down an icy and snowy hill was cake. and in nonwinter situations they feel and grip similar to A/S tires. total set $250 at jack williams for 185/70/14. my 2cents;)

i should add that i haven't driven them in steep mountain country yet......

In the area that we are in, I would recommend the cheap snow tires at your local tire shop. I've paid $40-50 depending on the size. And with the AWD they are as good as you'll need. I got two winters out of them on the Legacy, probably about 20-25,000 miles.

They pulled me through the occasional deep stuff and when the highway was covered with snow and slush, they allowed me to fly up and down Rte 81 at near normal highway speeds.

which tires did u get?

Both sets (Legacy and Brat) had different names but the one guy told me they were made by Cooper.

They both had this tread pattern, but I don't think either had the "Dean" name. On this page it says that they are made by cooper, so I guess I wasn't lied to
