Tan Plaid seats

Featured Replies

My GL has the plaid seats in them I was wondering if its possible to get replacement covers for them? Or a place to find these that are not damaged vynal like mine.

If you see the tops of my rear seat is all cracked and ripped open

Burberry

or what do you think would be the best way to fix this fo rthe rears?

I was thinking cutting equal parts out of each side and putting something under? I imagine I could not find eaxt matched vynal so....?

Ah - the lumber jack plaid. I've had a few with those seats. It was an 82 only thing. Very horribly ugly.

Every EA81 vinyl seat I've seen has been cracked or was close to it. Cheap, cheap, cheap vinyl.

You can have em recovered I guess, but I would get something with actual decent foam as the EA81 seats are increddibly harsh. Frankly just get some EA82 or legacy seats. Or pick whatever you like from the junk yard and make em fit.

I only worry about the backseat. Fiding a decent replacement. Most upholstery places charge a fortune to do work so that will be my last resort unless I do some heavy shopping around.

you could always find some close matching vinyl fabric and just patch the top of the seats(where its torn). if you take the covers off, you can do that by hand. it might be your easiest/cheapest option, but i am no perfectionist;)

yeah I think I will do that unless I see more.

These upholstery shops charge a fortune I think I will just have my wife or mom sew over exsistin material. No paterns needed than heh. Now what do they use fishing line?
