ANYONE EVER RUN 26/27s ON AN EA82 TURBO?

Featured Replies

I GOT AN 85 RX 4 DOOR SEDAN . I WANT TO DO A 3.5 LIFT AND RUN 26.5/27s ON HER,AN WANT TO GET SOME INPUT. THANX

First, locate your capslock key... push it. Try not to yell, thanks. Second, turbos plus high loads like big tires usually means no good. You need lots of instant torque to move those things, and the turbo's not where its at. For driving on the street? sure, go for it..... Wheeling on the other had is going to make you replace the clutch all the time and be no fun:-\ You should drop it instead:banana:

ive got 28's on my lifted Turbo Wagon. if i were to do it again... i wouldnt...

if you do dump the 3.7 trany and try to find a 3.9.

the turbo has plenty of power on the street, but has no low end torque in the mud/hills.

I think most lift RX's here so they still have a ok car to drive on the road.. I can imagine that turbo would be nice with 27's on... But yeah, if you look at the design of the waste gate on most turbo's you'll see the engine won't run to well until it starts to spool, and you want was to be having to spool your turbo when offroading, as you want low RPM, not a slipping clutch.
