Good price for a junkyard EG33?

Featured Replies

I (kind of) want to swap an EG33 into a Gen I Outback (as mentioned in another thread), but I have no idea of how to get ahold of the engine, or how much to pay for one. I don't even know what would generally come with the engine from the j/y.

Any ideas/help?

Good Luck finding a junked SVX. I bet you'll pay 500+ for the engine. Make sure you get every little bit of electronics from the engine - it has coil on plug like the EJ20G

I would just buy a running one on ebay. The last one I was watching sold for under $1100. Then you wouldn't have to deal with wiring problems and you could part out the rest of the car to get some of your cash back.

Please don't buy a running SVX with the intention of stripping and parting. If that's the route you want to go, at least get one that was totalled with some frame damage.

Please don't part out a running SVX, there's so few of them left that junking out the ones with a little bit of damage just isn't worth it.

not too long ago there was 2 SVXs at the JY by me, they were crushed after a few weeks.
