Long distance question? My kid back in S.D. has the t-coupe and is having problems. Says that it wants to die at 55mph, when we brought it out to her earlier it did it once or twice, but now it does it quite a bit. The "ecs" light comes on when it occurs. She says it stumbles and dies. Input?????

What's the code that it throws when it does that?

Clogged cat. In college I had a 79 Accord that did the same thing.

That might be a problem, the ea81ts dont store the codes (as far as i can find....) :-\

Have to remove the kick-panel and read the code while the engine is running when it occurs.

 

I'll go against the grain and say it's a TPS or 02 sensor code.... my crystal ball FWIW.
