gl - gl-10 question

Featured Replies

ok, found another subaru , i have not looked at it yet , the owner says it is a gl full time 4wd a/t turbo wagon , did they make the full time 4wds gl s ?, i throught that it had to be a gl-10 or am i wrong? :confused: :confused:

i think autos are full time

i have 2 gl-10 auto wagons and they are both full time

with manual you had choices

you also have to remember that the GL's had all of the same options for the GL-10 but the GL-10's came with those options automatically. Hondasucks has an 87 turbowagon but its a GL, not a GL-10.

i think id like to look into getting a pair of those FT4WD auto trans.

Depends on the year of the car.

In '87 all Full Time cars were 5 speeds.

In '88 all Full Timers were GL-10's (5 speed standard or 4EAT optional).*

In '89 in could be either. The Full Time GL came standard with a 4EAT (Full Time 5 speed not available in the GL) In the GL-10 it (4EAT) was available as a option (5speed standard).

As a side note, all '90 Loyale Turbo Full Time 4wd cars had the 4EAT, '89 was the last year for the Full Time 5 speed in the EA82.

* Except RX.

This information taken directly from the factory sales brochures, these list standard and optional features, exceptions are possible.

In '85 all turbo wagons had the 3AT with selective 4wd (non full time)

In '86 and '87 the 3AT was available as a option to the 5 speed.
