6" lift EA81 rear shocks

Featured Replies

putting 6" lift on a EA81, is their a shock out there long enough that will fit without using a extension , i know there is one to work with a 4" rancho

I would assume that a shock for a Jeep TJ designed for a 6 inch lift would be what you're looking for. Try an online 4wheeler dealer.

I agree to check with some of the jeep shocks. They may just work.I am using the rancho 5241's on the rear of my hatch.I am sure there is something similar that is longer.

Go down and click on specifications, find the shock with the mounting style you need along with the length travel and compression, and then go to your local parts store or 4x4 shop and order that part #.

If thats not the right page let me know, rancho changed their site around since the last time I was there, and adobe acrobat or whatever it is I use to view pdfs isnt working right now. It should be fairly large chart, with differant mounting styles at the top/front of it all and the codes associated with them, followed by the charts with differant shocks saying length travel compression etc...

rancho's are what rob had on his. i have ea82 rear struts on my ea81's 8" lift. i have brackets for about a 6 inch lift if you want to use ea82 struts with the torsion bars tuned down or removed...

i fly to washington tomorrow, so if want them i got to find out tonight, so i can pack them.
