Fuel Door Removal

Featured Replies

I recently purchased a new fuel door for my brat to replace the one on there that is currently showing it's fair share of rust. What steps do I go about removing this beast and putting the new one back on?

How does it spring open up? when i press my thing to open the gas door it just stays closed, but if some1 does it and i pull on it it opens, like the spring in a its gone, wheres that go?

Prospeeder: Best is to start your own thread instead of hijacking someone else's. His is a Brat which has a completely different fuel door from yours.

Also, tried searching? I'm pretty sure I've read this covered a few times.

Its cool, mine is the chrome screw thing that isnt made for anyone to open with ease. Swapped them out just a few minutes ago, two screws is all it is.

Mikeshoup: I got your back if you ever need it.

ohh thats right those ones have those circular chome ones that say liek Unleaded Fuel or somthing on them, Right right

You really, really ought to stay out of the EA81 threads till you have worked on a few. The Brat door is not like ANY other subaru. It is not chrome, and it does not have a pushbutton. It's painted the same as the body, and it has a spring loaded twist knob that confuses the hell out of all the station attendants.
