1400 suspention question? im just wondering what is an good replacement for the rear shocks for a 1400? i went down to the shock shop and they had problems trying to find anything close that would fit

kinda need help for this. my 1 is an 74 fwd 1400 that im fixin up

Any chance you could get a picture of the suspension.I am not sure what came on those.Maybe ask Moosens,I know he would know if anyone does.

They show up on eBay here,and there's a guy with some Konis that I have met at the Carlisle Import Show.He definitely has 1600 series,and I really don't think those would be any different than the 1400's.Not enough to matter,in my opinion.I don't have all my manuals handy right now but I'm 99% sure they mount the same (1400/1600) and aren't much different in length and damper.

I believe these are the same as all the Gen 1s?

No, The Gen 1's from 197X to 1979, in the states, are different from the Gen 2s. (1980-198X)

 

The BRATs are Gen 1 thru 1981.
