rear struts

Featured Replies

had my 90 leg fwd at the garage to get rear struts on it. i get a call and the guy says he can't get the one bolt out. he got the nut off but the bolt is siezed in. he said he tried heating it also. if he breaks the bolt will it be possable to drill it out? any ideas.

Mouse Milk is a great rust buster, but any good rust buster oil will help. Give it some time to work.

If its still stuck, have him check the lower attach bolts and pull the complete assy. With it off the car, that large hammer will do more work to drive the bolt out.

If all else fails, hit the local yard and get a used part.

yeah that'll happen sometimes. When I changed my lateral links I had to cut one bolt off and destroyed a few more bushings. You might have to order new hardware and have him take a sawzall/cutoff wheel/torch to some things.
