The plans can be had for around $50 saving you $4,950. It's the fiberglass hood that would cost to get shipped up from down under. That's one of the reasons I chose the "Bandit". I stretched the plans to accomodate 4 seats and called it good. All the Rhino kits use the same basic chassis. The only things that differ are the bodys on top of the chassis. The Bandit, Wombat/Humbug and the rest are all the same on the bottom side, since that's what adapts to the Subaru drivetrain.

August 21, 200718 yr still would like to see one, maybe build a 3/4 scale Jeep with subbie parts something like this but bigger I'd ride that!!!! Built a racing mower once, scary couldn't keep it shiny side up. I could gear that enough to make it fun.

July 18, 200817 yr Scott, That's a Rhinobuggy "Humbug". The same chassis as all the other Rhino kits, just a different look on the top side. I considered the Humbug because it was a 4 seater but I didn't want to pay to get the fiberglass front shipped up from AZ. I ended up stretching the Rhino "Bandit" into a 4 seater. When you were talking sand, I thought you were looking for a dune buggy or sand rail type vehicle. The Rhinos are not really in that class due to gearing and other issues. I'd consider them more of a trail/beach buggy. Good luck, Glenn does Rhinobuggy still sell the plans for the Humbug and Bandit? I went to their site, and all I saw were ''kits'' for Hummers made from Nissan's.....
July 18, 200817 yr I'd think they still would (still sell them) but they don't advertise them anymore. It would cost them virtually nothing to copy and send. All your going to get is 50 sheets of paper and one color pic. The plans will only cover the chassis/frame build up, nothing after that! Your instruction will end when the metal is assembled. No instruction is included on any of the finish work. The frame can be made in two weeks, the finish work will take two months. Good Luck,
