Purge control solenoid valve

Featured Replies

I checked the fault codes and found a code 35, purge control solenoid valve is continuously in on or off position. Where is the purge control solenoid valve? Is this owner replaceable or fixable? Could it just be stuck? Would a good cleaning possibly fix it? My Chiltons manual doesn't mention it that I can find. Any help would be appreciated.

Isuzu troopers and rodeos have similar solenoids. Ton's of options in other cars too. But the Isuzu ones are a good quality

Anyone know part numbers for solenoids, OEM or IZUZU. I think I'll try a new one.

Thank you,

Mike

Sorry, I don't know any part numbers. But the one time I inquired the Subaru dealer wanted around $90 for a new OEM one. I think that's why most people look for them in junkyards, or go without them, or find cheaper ones for other cars.

I've seen so many different cars with the same device its just not funny. Only thing you have to look out for is if it has the same plug. Go to your junkyard and check some cars out. I'm sure you'll only have to pay a couple of bucks compared to new which is stupidly priced..
