June 1, 200718 yr Has anyone ever put the SPFI on the EA81? I'm sure someone has done this. What is involved and a hairbrained idea? Are there electrical monsters hiding in this idea? I have found a SPFI on a '91 wagon in the JY. What will I need to remove?:-\

June 4, 200718 yr sorry to be tardy to the party... I did it a really stupid way... worked great, but I should have put the ECU inside the cab.... I don't know what I was thinking.... Pictures make it look like there are a trillion wires going everywhere... but it's really not bad... Things you'll have to look out of are the dizzy and locations of things... BTW. there ARE mounting points for the ECU in the same location as the Loyale!... something I didn't know... Dizzy you have to change gears and cut a mounting point off of it... cake. Good luck:banana:
June 22, 200718 yr how did you get that big air filter on the MAF? thats pretty sweet grinder;) I just took the "mounting plate" where it bolts to the air box off... and it's mostly round there... just a little trim and it was perfect... I have the same thing on my SPFI swapped SW... it's loud tho:banana:
June 24, 200718 yr Or you could just buy a $10 Nissan 240SX MAF adaptor GD ...but the grinder was free:banana:
