My car recently started a very odd habit of blinking the parking lights when the alarm is set. It will do it for hours on end until it is disarmed. The horn does not activate with this oddity. Everything else seems to work fine.

I had a new amp put in a few months ago, though it worked fine up until now.

I would guess that the blinking is just to let you know that the alarm has been set but something in the alarm system has failed and it won't stop the flashing.
