Hiya Subarubies,

 

I have a '84 wagon with the PK lift kit, and it feels like it needs shocks and struts. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to replace the shocks/struts with, or should I just go to Sears and get the Monroe stuff they sell.

rally russ has used accord front springs in the rear of an EA-82? and they seem to work well for him, i'm going to pick up a set over break.

It's an '84, no rear coil springs.

I would go with some off road shocks that are longer than your stock units, as much longer as your lift kit. Then U will have heavy dutiy units and U will not have to use the shock extentions that came with the kit.

As for the front, as far as I know stock units is the only option.

Sears does or did sell front struts with the stock adjustment. I believe Gabriel manufactured them. You can also spend a few more bucks on KYB shocks/struts. I have used the KYB's on the rear and like them.

Iam looking for a pair of rear heavy duty shocks for my Xt will the KYB just bolt on and which model are they.
