Sorry to post here.email me if you would please.I no longer can find your email addy.

I talked to Don,he insists its bent valves and says it runs but not good enough to drive long.I wonder if it'll limp to your house. He has buddies that will tow if needed or I can try my AAA if you sneak a plate on it.

As you know this weekend is shot.He said he'd hold it on his lot for a couple weeks if needed. We've got time to work stuff out.Naturally I'll take care of you for helping out. Thanks bud!

I chose the opening bid hoping it saves me a few bucks.

you talking about that loyale on ebay, with the bent valves? I was going to post that but forgot about it.

Correct, the one in Browns Mill NJ not far from Boz.

Bent valves is what he said.He says "I ought to know I do this for a living.".........oh,ok Bubba.;) How much you want to bet the T-belts are off a tooth or timing is whacked? If they truely are bent or the engine is a total dog I've got a swapper for it.

OK Boys,back off,she's MINE!!!:brow:

BOZ!!!! Where is you is??? Again, sorry to post here.I'll call tomorrow just to make contact without typing.

you should have asked him how they bent. for that matter if he is right how could of they bent?

I kind of did ask. That's when he said he does this for a living and that he should know........even sounded like a Bubba. No offense you guys down south but he had the "drawl" and I'm sure he drives a pickup with a rebel flag on it and a case of Bud in the back. ...or is it Pabst?

We'll see what Bubba neglected to see when I get my paws on it.:brow:

"Where you are wealthy enough to drive a BMW, but still drink PBR."

Yeah, It's kinda dumpy place! He probably is a "bubba" doesn't have to be from down south. Apparently, you've never been to skid row, OOPS! I mean browns millls. I was wondering what was going on. I was thinking if you don't make that bid I was gonna. You should have just waited until the end. If not, I bet I could have just gone there and handed him a fifty and been done with it. You probably will still get it for that, Apparently, no one else bid on it. He's not gonna make any money on it because it costs 40 bucks for the initial listing then I think it's like another 40 when it sells. Anyway, Here's my # again 609 702 5966 and my email is cmakar@hotmail.com keep it in your contacts list. Let me know when you would like to come down. Boz

If you win this car, I think you are MORALLY OBLIGATED to DRIVE IT off of this guys lot and into the sunset under its own power.;) Nothing like the look on a guys face when you do this after he's told you it can't be done. It's just priceless:lol:

He didn't say it wouldn't drive off the lot or wouldn't drive at all, He said it's "not good enough to drive long"

Thanks again Boz.I just put the info in my address book.

I do want to try to drive it off the lot.Hopefully home after fixing it on his lot.If not then it'll go to Boz's and I'll operate on it there.

I meant MY car, not THIS one. The principal is the same, though, if he is proven wrong since he is telling us that the motor won't be truly serviceable without at least pulling the heads. The look on his face would probably be very similar.

I don't think the valves are bent. The statement that "He should know...etc." without further explanation makes it even more suspect. I think with a tweak of the valve timing,(at worst a belt change) she will suddenly be HEALED! If it does need another motor, I believe it will be for reasons other than bent valves. But then again, what do I know. I also thought Enron was a good buy just before it crashed.:D

Cheers,

if it runs it either jumped a tooth or the short side went because somebody replaced only one belt before.

well...if it runs on 2 cyls, i guess this qualifies for "cant be driven long distances"

ive never heard of a loyale bending valves before...

Wow! Sniped in the last 2 minutes for a dollar. :dead:

Oh well...

Paul, How bad do you want it? he he he Me thinks me can go there with 51 bucks and say I am "Country Morgan" and the dust will be settled by the time the other guy gets there. Title will be transferred etc..Actually, it was probably a customer's car so the title is probably already signed. Throw a fake plate on, drive 1/2 mile down the road, pretend to break down and store at someone's house for a day or two until you come down and tow with me. DAMN! I'm EVIL! Only reason I didn't bid is because you were, I would have got it, trust me! So...Do you want it???

Only if you want to.....Go for it! You have my blessing. If it doesn't happen I won't cry.Good luck

I should have bid a backup bid.My mistake.
