I keep hearing thing's about 14" ATV wheel's on the Forum?

Featured Replies

I keep hearding post's about putting 14" ATV wheels on a Roo? Can you do that? And how would it look?

Or do i not know what i'm talking about and i'm a Dead banana?:dead:

actually polaris's bolt pattern on selct atv's is like a 4x137 bolt pattern, compared to subaru's 4x140 pattern. i tried it on my roo and im sure they'll fit if you just drill the holes a little bigger so they'll fit around the wheels studs of a subaru.

so yes it is very possible

and its your decision to ba a :dead: lol

Hahahahaha! I guess i'll be a dead banana! Anyhoo yeah i suppose it would work! I'm not going to do it i was just wondering! lol..

Oh BTW, Where did you get that brush guard from?? I'd like to get one for my Loyale but don't know how/if i can bolt it on? I know it can be done because i saw a 88-89 GL wagon with one that looked OEM but that was in Aussie? It's a pic on the net somewhere!

But anywayz cool wagon tho! I like that rack too!:headbang:

I wouldnt use atv rims. They are rated for like 500LBs max.You can use atv tires with about 20 psi on a 14" nissan rim. They would be offroad only.and speeds below 40.But they would give outstanding traction.

I don't think it's a good idea to put ATV wheels on a car!! Unless it's a Geo! lol:lol:

Heya, I only know of one person who has "ATV Wheels" and that is Sweet82, but he's truly got custom made wheels (wider and heavy enough for his buggy) I have looked into this at length, and I wouldn't be afraid to use the tires (NEVER THE RIMS!!) at all if your going to use them strictly for off-road or at least lower speeds, however I would like to add that the only ATV tires I have found over the last 11 mons or so of looking that even rate their tires are Kenda Bounty Hunter HD's here's a link for ya. :burnout:http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=64671&highlight=holy+grail

I talked to the Kenda tire rep on the phone, they actually recommended not going over the tire's rated presure of 5lbs. I was also concerned about using my nissan 2wd 14" rims, because they are narrower, but that wasn't a concern according to the rep, and I plan on using the narrower "front" tires on all 4 to preserve a nice narrow contact patch:banana:

Hopefully I will have them next week once I sell my XT6 (that is if bills don't eat up my spending money) I talked to the parts guy at a local motorcycle shop again to just check on some info and he remembered me just from the conversation we had almost 1 yr ago
