Has anyone done anything for more power on a Gen III H6 Outback?

Featured Replies

I have a 03 H6 EZ30 Outback, it could do with more ponies....

Anyone here tackled that question yet? I did a search but nothing of interest came back...

there was a thread on nasioc a while back where someone was swapping htat engine into his impreza, but he made custom headers and i think was playing with engine management. unfortunatly, i cant remember where that thread was hiding on there.

Simply, your best bet is to keep the car in tip-top maintenance with things like copper plugs and clean air filter.

You can swap out the muffler with a free flowing unit. After that you get into engine management.

you could always get an intake that allows for the maf and ive noticed that ngk irridum plugs make a difference. that and free flowing exhaust, maybe 2.25"- 2.5" with a good quality muffler on it would help out a bit. but after the simple things like bolt ons, unless you are willing to spend the time and money to play with the internals and engine management, there isnt too much really :(.

you could turbocharge it... without putting in low comp pistons, you could just run about 4 lbs. of boost,...
