Those pesky inspections

Featured Replies

took the mountain grizzly to the shop today to be inspected and proceeded to fail miserably:

Catylatic convertor missing- hehe ooopps

Crankcase ventilation not hooked up- anyone know what this would normally go to?

Evaporative Emissions system missing

Oxygen sensor not hooked up- wire was just cut though

lugnuts pulling through rim- think just needs bigger lugnuts

no high beam indicator- who would have guessed they check that:rolleyes:

Lower ball joint missing cotter pin

Thought i might be able to catch a break on this one but it looks like i have some stuff to fix...

If your talking about the mountain grizley that used to be owned buy mcbrat. Did you tell him that you lived in a state that had emissions checks because he might of warned you of the problems u might have getting it to pass. As far as i knew the car ran great but was more designed for non road emissions things. But you might talk to him see what he can help you with

Oh yeah its the one. I was fully aware of the conditions of the car i just want to be able to get it street legal here. we dont really have "emissions" here but i still have to get the stuff fixed to pass our inspections. he did give me a service manual though, it helped me answer a lot of my own questions, doh

if you don't have to pass emissions but have to have a cat installed, just mount a hollowed out cat ;)

the missing cotter pin is easily fixed with a self locking nut (no need for a cotter pin)

everything is actually quite seasily fixed, its just a pain to do :-p

good luck with it

Blue, worst case, drive it down here and I can most likely get you a nice piece of paper that says all is well...
