hey i have a 1980 subaru gl 5 1600 wagon 5 speed 2wd. i was just wondering how many ea81 body style cars came with the 1600 ea71 engine. cause mine is the only other one i have seen around here. would be cool if it was kin ofa raredy. but yeah any one have any info ? thanks Rob

Yeah, the 1600 was used in DL models and GL5's. Alot of 1600cc single range models existed past 1980. I believe in 1983 they did away with the 1600cc and made everything 1800cc. But single range still existed in DL models.

My friends 86 Hatch DL 2WD has the stock 1600 in it.

my 1988 DL has 1600 engine in it

OK but the big question is how many GLF-5's are there out there?
