Is $275 too much?

Featured Replies

Took a ride to local wrecking yard this morning. Found a GL with 135K miles and the DR 5-speed. Yard wants $275 for the DR. Seems high to me but wondering if this is an average price. Never bought a DR.

it's not a great deal, but not over market value either if that makes any sense. if you're looking for one you can certainly get it cheaper. probably find one and have it shipped for less than that, but that's the thing if you wanted it there's probably a hard time finding another close. though i saw two in TN (turbo for $200 nonturbo for $175).

From a yard that will pull it for you, it's a little high but typical. If you have to pull it, it's way too high. I bet you can find one from a private seller a lot cheaper.

Yes. Think I'll just pass on this one.

Hey John,

135K on it? I'd take another look and at least make them an offer. That is, if you really want one.

How were the shifters and linkage? If everything is tight there, that's worth something. Inner shifter boot intact? I've got one good one from a 100K car, out of three. I'd get all of that with it and part of the console too if you don't have it.

I keep thinking 135K on it and if all of the above is in good shape, I'd make an offer, try to work something out. If I really wanted one.

Still going to let this one get away. Wanting is one thing but do I need it is another. Got too many Subaru parts stashed away as is that I probably will never live long enough to use.
